Lessons Learned in the MSE Retaining Wall Industry

The presentation offers best practices for designing and specifying MSE Retaining Walls based on lessons learned in the industry. A brief overview of MSE Retaining Wall types, applications and construction will be provided along with western region project highlights.

Paul Frankenberger, PE

Paul brings 25 years of experience working with major MSE Retaining Wall companies like The Reinforced Earth Company, Keystone Retaining Wall Systems and Tencate Mirafi Geosynthetics. As Region Manager, Paul has been involved in the sales, design, testing and construction of MSE Retaining Walls in the western states. Projects have ranged from highway DOT, public works, commercial and residential MSE Retaining Walls using both steel and geosynthetic soil reinforcements.

Paul is a graduate of Georgia Tech, where he earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Civil Engineering.
