Paul's Resume
Paul Scott is a Partner with Caruso Turley Scott Structural Engineers in Arizona. His first structural engineering project (done in 1977) was a single-story mini storage building with a wood roof and masonry walls. He has designed thousands of masonry structures since that first project.
Paul joined The Masonry Society (TMS) in 1979 and started participating in
the masonry code writing process in 2008. Paul is currently a member of the TMS402/602 Main Committee, the General Requirements Subcommittee, the Construction Requirements Subcommittee and the Prestressed Masonry Subcommittee. He is also the current Chair of the TMS Technical Activities Committee (TAC).
Paul has brought his extensive experience with masonry buildings to TMS to keep the code as simple and straightforward as possible. Paul was a strong voice to extend the TMS402/602 code cycle from 3 years to 6 years.
